This documentation covers how to use ACE Search, understand its features, and get the most out of your search experience.

Table of Contentsโ€‹

Prerequisitesโ€‹

Before using ACE Search, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Knowledge sources have been configured in the system
  • You have appropriate access permissions to the knowledge management platform
  • Admin configuration for bookmarks and connectors has been completed

Getting Startedโ€‹

ACE Search works by querying content from the knowledge management system. For optimal search functionality:

  1. Ensure knowledge sources are properly configured by administrators
  2. Access the ACE Search interface through your platform
  3. Verify that the required bookmarks are available (configured through Platform Global Settings)

Search Interfaceโ€‹

The search interface consists of:

  • A search input field where you can type queries, questions, or keywords
  • Bookmark options configured by administrators
  • Google integration (if configured)

To perform a search:

  1. Enter your query in the search box (e.g., "Katonic")
  2. Press Enter or click the search button
  3. The system will process your query and display relevant results

Search Resultsโ€‹

After submitting a search query, results are displayed with the following information:

  • Total number of results found (e.g., "18 results found")
  • Document matches containing your search term
  • Search result listings showing contexts where your term appears

Filtering Resultsโ€‹

You can refine search results using the filters panel:

  1. Open the side navigation drop-down menu
  2. Access the "Filters" option
  3. Select filters based on:
    • Knowledge connectors
    • File types
    • Other criteria relevant to your search query

The filters dynamically adjust based on your search term to show relevant document categories.

AI-Generated Summariesโ€‹

ACE Search includes AI capabilities for more complex queries:

  1. If your input is not detected as a question, you'll see a prompt: "This doesn't seem like a question for generative AI. Do you want LLM to give response?"
  2. Click this prompt to generate an AI summary related to your query
  3. The system will create a comprehensive summary based on knowledge source information

Working with AI Summariesโ€‹

After receiving an AI-generated summary, you can:

  • Ask follow-up questions for more information
  • Provide feedback on the summary quality
  • Copy the summary text for use elsewhere

Additional Featuresโ€‹

ACE Search includes several helpful features:

  • Copy functionality: Copy search results directly from the interface
  • Bookmarks: Access frequently used resources configured by administrators
  • Follow-up questions: Continue your research by asking related questions

Administrator Configurationโ€‹

Administrators can configure ACE Search through:

  • Platform Global Settings
  • Knowledge connector setup
  • Bookmark configuration for quick access to common resources
